This is the best basketball stat taking app to track players and team stats across multiple games and seasons. The benefits of this app are:
> "Thumb" driven game stat interface - and now with SPEECH TO STATS - use your mic to enter stats! You will spend more time watching the game than hunting for the correct button to touch.
> Game stat log: lets you easily review the action and correct any mistakes.
> Terrific stat viewing interface and format: Sort, scroll and formatting functions allow you to easily view stats even on smaller devices.
> Stat sharing: quickly share stats via email to other interested people or even the coach for a halftime review during the game.
> Game synching: synch games with other people so everyone has a current history of the teams and players. Anyone can take stats for a game and share, so no one misses out. Perfect for youth sports and teams.
> Stat tracking: stats are maintained for teams, players, and games. Player stats are shown across teams and games; Team stats are shown for players and games; Game stats are shown by player by half and by total game.
> Two buttons are included to capture impact plays and mistakes: often players will make a play that does not get reflected in the stats (a perfect screen or a defensive play that results in another players steal, for impact examples - or a missed assignment on defense or an improper cut, for mistake exampes).
> Game rating: a special rating formula is included to gauge a players impact. A future update will include the ability to customize this calculation. For now, this rating reflects a players total impact on a game and is calculated as follows: rating = points - (fgAttempted - points) + assists + blocks + ((impactPlays - mistakes) * 0.5) + rebounds + steals + (tieups * 0.5) - turnovers.
> All emailed stats always include a Comma Separated Values files of the raw stats if anyone wishes to compile their own statistical analysis.
> Stats are provided by Team, Player (cross-Team), and Game.
> Note: half assists are included for making the perfect pass and the teammate missing the wide-open shot. Like all stats, this is optional.

Best practices:
> "Teams" are really Season/Teams. For instance, AAU teams often play Fall, Winter & Spring. These would be three separate teams.
> To easily match imported games with others, the team names should match. If they dont you can choose them when importing, but it makes it easier if they match.
> Player matching on import (game sharing) is done once the team is chosen and by player number.
> If a player is young and you want to "break" their stats into separate categories (big changes occur in the middle school years for instance), you can create a new "player" for them and name them "Jenny 6th" vs "Jenny 7th". Since player stats are shown by team, this isnt necessary, but it may be cleaner to view separately once a player reaches high school, for instance, to not view and filter 6th grade stats.
